This privacy policy explains how the app "Pinned." handles your data. The protection of your personal data is very important to us.
All data you enter in the app (marked countries, cities, travel diary entries, ratings, notes, photos, expenses, trip groups, packing lists, flights) is stored exclusively on your device. No data is transmitted to external servers.
The app does not send any personal data to external servers, cloud services, or third-party providers. Your travel data remains entirely on your device.
The app offers an optional GPS tracking feature for automatic detection of visited cities. This feature is disabled by default and is only used while the app is open. Location data is processed exclusively locally and is not shared with third parties. You can enable or disable GPS tracking at any time in the settings.
Photos you add to your travel entries are stored locally on your device. No upload to external servers takes place.
The app uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may use anonymized device information (e.g., device ID, advertising ID) to show relevant ads. No personal travel data is transmitted to AdMob. You can disable personalized advertising in your device settings. All advertisements can be removed by purchasing the Premium version.
In-app purchases (e.g., "Remove Ads") are processed through Google Play or the Apple App Store. Payment processing is handled exclusively by the respective store provider.
The 3D globe view loads geographic map data (GeoJSON) from an external CDN server. No personal data is transmitted in this process.
Beyond AdMob, the app does not use any analytics tools or other tracking technologies. Your usage behavior is not recorded or evaluated.
As this is a native app, no cookies are used.
The app offers export and import functions (JSON backup, PDF export) for your data. Exported files are stored locally on your device. Sharing these files is your responsibility.
You can reset all stored data at any time via the app settings. Alternatively, all data will be deleted when you uninstall the app.
We reserve the right to update this privacy policy as needed. The current version is always available in the app.
